If there is a Thompson in New Vegas, it will look like a Thompson. And as I stated before, it's not the Thompson sub-machine gun, it's an American 180. The Chinese Assault Rifle was based off of the Type 56 Assault Rifle, a Chinese copy of the AK-47, hence the minor design differences. I hope they have one with the the mag down. It would be strange to change that in such a drastic manner. It's an icon which most people recognize. (some minor design differences on the look of it)īut I agree that putting the mag on top would totally destroy the classic image of the tommy gun. The Assault Rifle had a smaller caliber than the G3 (5.56 in stead of 7.62), and the Chinese Assault rifle had a smaller caliber as well and looked slightly different from the AK47. Well, it's not like Fallout 3 was entirely true to the real versions of the guns.
